For more than 25 years Les Jardins de sainte Hildegarde have specialized in the provision of organic AND non hybridized spelt. All the references we offer on our website are guaranteed non hybridized (which means not crossed with wheat) and organic, both in large and small spelt.
Saint Hildegarde considers this cereal as the basis of a healthy diet and has many properties and benefits. Ancestor of wheat, the existence of spelt dates back to as early as 9000 BC. Three varieties are known today, but at the time of St. Hildegarde, all “dressed wheat” was called spelt. The composition and nutrient content of unhybridized spelt offers an exceptional food that can be eaten in all types of dishes.
