The Vegetal Amber (Rubellite)

Called Rubellite by Saint Hildegarde, she poetically describes her strange formation: “Rubellite is born from any urine, especially from the urine of the lynx, when the sun is full of ardour, when the wind is weak, gentle and well tempered.” (Physica ch XIX)

Saint Hildegarde gives two indications about amber, which relate to digestive disorders, it is either to prepare amber wine, or cow or sheeps milk (not goat milk) with amber.
