Boxwood

Saint Hildegarde of Bingen says of this shrub: “Boxwood is warm and so strong that it keeps its greenness all year round, it represents generosity” (Physica ch XXII)

She advises holding a stick and breathing in the smell of the wood, but also drinking from a boxwood cup, which has many health benefits.
